Lassithi Plateau

A scenery tour 3000 ft up the west slope of Dicti mountain is Lassithi Plateau. On the way we will stop at Panagia Kera cloister with its Byzantine frescoes. Then we will continue to Psychro and visit  the Dicteon Andron Cave which according  to the Greek Mythology is the birth place of  Zeus, the father of the Gods. The Cave is an impressive sight almost vertical down to in land with full of stalactites and stalagmites. It is advisable to have proper shoes for walking as the entrance of the cave is in a distance 400 meter away upwards from the bus parking place.
