Gournia, Ierapetra, Anatoli & Kalamafka Timios Stavros church

Breakfast in our hotel and begin our excursion to East – South Crete. We will make our first stop at Gournia a city with unknown name which lies on a small hill  19 km East of Agios Nikolaos and a few hundred meters from the gulf of Mirabello. Here it was a city with inhabitants from 2300 B.C. till 1450 BC where destroyed at the same period the other  Minoan Palace on Crete  and after that  abandoned. Continue to Ierapetra city the most South  city of Europe Favoured both by position and by nature, Ierapetra has always been an important centre of the island. It has grown into the largest town in south Crete and a major tourist destination. Through the village Anatoli we will arrive to village Kalamafka. From here we will have the chance to see the North and South sea of Crete. We will visit also here the church of Timios Stavros. Then return to our hotel.
